Geeked: Toon-In
Netflix wanted a native presence on Twitch for its animation slate. Not a trailer drop, not a one-off watch party, but a returning show that could carry a whole catalogue.

CHALLENGE
Netflix had a deep animation catalogue and nowhere native on Twitch to talk about it. The show had to return weekly, hold an audience between episodes, and move from Cuphead to Sonic Prime to The Dragon Prince without falling apart in the transition.
INSIGHT
I cast for enthusiasm over reach. The host had to genuinely like cartoons, because that’s the only register in which a show like this doesn’t read as corporate. Kiera Please wasn’t the largest audience available, she was the one whose interest was real — and across the run she promoted the show on her own channels without being asked.
APPROACH
A weekly live series across Twitch and TikTok, eight episodes, with guest talent rotating through. I cast guests cross-sectionally rather than gaming-only, because the slate wasn’t one audience. The talent side beat its targets and the live stream line came in at 46% of goal — we forecast off the caliber of guests we were booking, which is a reasonable way to forecast and the wrong way to forecast this. Breadth is exactly what stops an audience compounding. Someone who came for Cuphead had no reason to return for Sonic Prime.
